Turn

Took the wife and daughter because wife wanted to try it. I liked the space. One wall covered with albums provided a lot of entertainment, and the music was good, but the room was loud, mostly because of one large group who all seemed to feel they had to shout every sentence. I ordered the poached egg on steak and an English muffin. Not fond of Hollandaise so I asked for that on the side. See the photo, it was beautiful - but difficult to eat. I tried to cut pieces that would let me enjoy the gestalt, but by the time I got muffin, steak, tomato, egg,... it was too much. I had to eat pieces separately, and I think it lost something from the decoupling. Quality of all the parts was excellent, though. A lot is grown on site! Wife had the meatballs, and they were amazing. Daughter had avocado toast with egg, and there were sweet potato fries. It's fine dining with a soul food twist.

Loved everything about Turn! This was our first time visiting. We went for brunch on a Saturday and the atmosphere and place was pleasant, roomy and beautiful with big picture windows. Our waitress, I can’t remember her name but she was very nice and helpful. Our drinks, I had a latte my fiancé had a blood orange mimosa. I usually won’t drink mimosas, but it was so delicious. It was sweeter, just how I like.????We notice that they had a mushroom soup on this day. Our waitress brought us out a sample and it was absolutely delicious!???????? Let me tell you that my fiancé and I have been looking for a good mushroom bisque since another restaurant that we frequent stop serving it. We loved the other restaurants, but this one was the best one we’ve had!!! Delicious, creamy and tasty! The owner/cook came out and talked with his customers, giving them/us each special attention. He even sold us a big thing of the mushroom brie! We were so excited about that and that he catered to our needs. I

Loved the atmosphere! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Several staff members checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our food/drinks. The food was so good! I had the biscuit flight, of which I could only finish two. Best biscuits I've had in StL! My daughter had the salmon sandwich with truffle fries and loved it! She said the ginger/wasabi flavor was delicious. The bartender me an excellent bloody mary as well. Even the music was great! We will return!
