This place is always a great place to stop and have a bite to eat. The food is amazing, and service usually is superb. This time, we had a waiter that just seemed like he did not want to be there. Very dry and did not check on us but one time during the meal. Parking: This night we were lucky to find parking in the restaurant parking lot and it's free. But you may have to find other parking that you will have to pay for.

Mi Tierra is a San Antonio institution. We've been going for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always good and tasty with large portions. The pan dulce has always been fresh and delicious. As we usually stop in for breakfast, I have to also mention their coffee, which is great! The decor and vibe is really fun, with year round Christmas decorations and live mariachis offering songs tableside. Being located downtown, be aware that it is very popular with tourists so it can be extremely busy and there can be a substantial wait to be seated if you visit during peak times. They are really good at handling crowds and have a great paging system and plenty of seating (primarily outside) for waiting. It's actually worth the wait. Lastly, be aware that parking in the area is at a premium. There is a small on site lot that is usually full, so we usually have to pay for parking at a nearby pay lot. Parking: Parking is a premium. Yes!! Birth place of the fajita!!! Proves how successful a man can be if he listens to his wife!! Bakery is fantastic. Also don't miss the market place which is a destination on its own. Another bust tour stop location. Highly recommend.
