XIT Woodfire Grill

We had a short wait to be seated at this Very Busy & Popular Restaurant. Waitress asked for drinks and suggested appetizers, we only ordered Drinks! David got a cold beer and I chose water with lemon. We then waited for a while before we were able to order. I ordered Pulled Pork, Sweet Potato, and applesauce. David got a Steak (Tri Tip) as they ran out of Prime Rib. It came with Baked Sweet Potato, and Green beans. I realized they were busy, but I'm certain we sat with only our drinks for nearly 20- 30 minutes. Sadly, the Kitchen was so busy and we finally got our plates our food was cold. We both agreed we should've asked ou waitress to heat them up. But, as our waitress was about 3-4 weeks new, we tried to explain the "Kitchen should've made sure any food was not cold!" (Not the waitress.) Once we explained our reasons, she did offer a free dessert. Because both our meals were pricey, David asked for a dessert for each of us. You know I like the fact there's like a little dirt lot right there. You can park a semi truck which is what I did. The drinks were good. We had the chicken fried steak and shrimp basket. The chicken fried steak was one of the best I ever had, and the cream gravy tasted like it was made from scratch and not the watery stuff some places serve.
