Our first time visiting Hyman’s. It was fantastic! Every dish & serving presented by our excellent waitress, Yolanda, was tasty perfection. The shrimp were fresh & tender; the hushpuppies were to die for! And I’ve never had slaw that was both sweet to taste yet had a slight pop to it. Yum! My Mom loved her fried shrimp with chunky potato fries and slaw. The fried green tomatoes were huge. And the Boom Boom shrimp actually made my heat-loving Aunt break a sweat. Yolanda knew exactly how to guide us in our first order, and made us feel welcome and at home. The restaurant is beautiful with its multiple rooms and walls of stars and family history. We cannot wait to come back & eat here again! Thank you for such a lovely experience!

This place is absolutely awesome The food was great the service was great it's a bit tight downstairs in the restaurant but it's worth it. I will say it only got four stars for the atmosphere because behind the stairs on the side there is some seating by an exit smell really bad we had to move but they moved us with no problem. Our server's name was Josh has a ponytail and glasses cool guy very knowledgeable The owner Victor came out and greeted us and gave us some pretty cool information about the multicolored cards on the table I do suggest using those to have a little fun. Overall the restaurant was great and I recommend getting the sea bass croquette over fried grits awesome, awesome, awesome. Also try the peach tea slushie you will not regret it. Also the restaurant is pet friendly. Leave comments if you go.
