What an amazing experience from start to finish. Our server was knowledgeable and patient. The food was exquisite. "The doctor" cocktail was delicious. I ordered the 2lb lobster with truffle Mac and au gratin potatoes, the wife had the lone Ribeye with broccoli. Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. If you are in Newport, you absolutely need to visit this restaurant. Their food is phenomenal. We’ve tried lobster roll, surf and turf burger, grilled octopus and grilled salmon on kid’s menu. 22B was a great dining experience for my wife and I. Beautiful venue and conveniently located. Our server (Sergio) was very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. My only critique is with the wagyu. My wife and I both ordered the 6oz Wagyu...the taste was amazing and it was cooked perfectly. I do, however, recommend that 22B enhances the plating/presentation of such a unique steak. For the price, our steaks looked subpar. Our steaks were cut into about 4x 1in pieces. Wagyu needs to be served in smaller pieces for numerous reasons. I recommend 7-8 1/2in wide cuts for the 6oz. Do not pre-cut wagyu in the kitchen with a serrated knife. The meat is far too tender and serrated knives hinders a clean cut view of the marbling, another unique experience specific to wagyu. A small critique to an otherwise delicious dinner. I highly recommend 22B and will certainly dine here again.
