Cafe Rio Mexican Grill

This place has gone so far down hill I don't think it is possible to recover. The building is DISGUSTING, dust every where. Even the food surfaces are not clean. They used to be extremely busy, clean and delicious even their busiest days you wouldn't have to wait long. Now the line can have 8 people in it and you are going to wait a very long time. They don't acknowledge your presence just talk to each other. Forget your food on the grill so you have black tortillas. I'm pretty sure if they were inspected they would be shut down. We walked out last time and that will be the last time. Sad because I have so many memories of their delicious food. The last time I ordered for delivery the queso tasted like they had forgotten to clean a chemical out of the pot before making it. Once chipoltle opens I'm sure it won't take long for Cafe Rio to close.

Not a long line and every order is handled step by step and communication between workers is great. The soft shells are made from scratch and very fresh. Much improved since my last visit about 6 mos ago , Caleb slinging some meat & beans is a Rockstar ???? Hire 6 more like him and we may hit 5 stars. The food was good , overall the staff is much friendlier and professional these days. Did see the piles of pre-made tortillas ???? .... maybe they're still just short handed , not a deal breaker.
