RAMEN-SAN

We had the edamame hummus and had to order a second batch- it was incredible!! A must have. We also got the Avocado Tuna Tar tar and it was also delicious, although not enough for a reorder like the edamame. I had the Tonkatsu ramen and everything about it was perfect: broth on point, not too salty like in other places, and creamy! The noodles perfectly cooked, too! I’m beyond satisfied; even the drink was amazing- Yuzu Margarita. The donut puffs did not disappoint either! ????????

I got the Tantan-San, and the overall flavor was only two stars. First of all, the soup was very salty for my taste, and the flavors were not there. It tasted like very concentrated miso soup with hot chili sauce. Second, the mushrooms were not Shiitake!! How can you make a ramen without using Shiitake mushrooms?!? This to me is like cheating, and it brings down the flavor too much. This is unacceptable! Third, the noodles were undercooked? The noodles stick together, and the soup was not hot enough. It felt like a leftover bowl of ramen. It was warm, but not hot! The tofu however, because of how tasteless it is, it goes very well with the overly salty soup. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want authentic experience. Maybe other flavors are better. The waitress however was very kind and attentive. Great service and nice interior decors.

The place was hard to find it has a tiny sign at the top so missed it 3 times , it was also difficult to get to because streets where adjusted for lollapalooza. My waitress was nice but took a minute to get her attention for anything . There where 5 waitresses and 2 ppl inside so I'm not sure why. The food was good, the tonkotsu was very well made and my egg was perfect . The noodles were al dente witch I'm not a fan of and I asked to add spice witch is extra $ and they didn't put much. I'd give a second chance tho it was good.
