Girl and the Goat in Chicago impressed us with its speedy service and flawlessly prepared dishes. The flavors were outstanding, with a clever mix of acidity and savory elements in each bite. The restaurant's use of fresh, local ingredients was evident in the beautifully presented dishes. Whether it was the tender lamb shank or the crispy pig face, every plate was a masterpiece. There’s a reason Girl & The Goat is one of the most popular restaurants in Chicago and I’m glad I finally got to try this famous spot. Reservations go quickly but I was able to get one for a week night for dinner. Dishes are served family style and come out as they’re ready so order a few items off the menu and enjoy. Our waitress recommended 4-5 dishes for two people so we picked some of the items we’ve been excited to try for a while. The chickpea fritters were unique and had an unexpectedly delicious flavor combining all the different textures and ingredients. The goat empanadas amazing and the pig face was very umami and bold almost like a pig belly. Our favorite dish of the night though was the pork shank for sure. All the different pieces of the dish really made it stand out. Service is on point here and everyone is friendly. Glad I finally visited!

First time visit to this restaurant did not disappoint! We went on a Monday.... is a great way to see how things are on off nights, and everything was fantastic. Dinner started with signature cocktails, which were well crafted and not minuscule (as has become the trend), chickpea fritters which were very tasty. Our entrees steak and salmon were pristine. Overall, a great experience, beautifully prepared food delivered in a classic setting with excellent service.
