Such great food and service!! Perfect for anyone that is vegan and/or gluten free, as they have a wide array of delicious plant-based stews and even gluten-free Injera if you request it (although it costs extra). Feels like Addis Ababa!! This is my 2nd day in D.C. and I can proudly say D.C. isn’t complete without Ethiopian food! Being from Minneapolis, MN, I have to say D.C. took it to another level with Ethiopian food. I still love Ethiopian food back in MN but D.C. is different and would have to top this up with the best Ethiopian food ever (excluding Addis Ababa). I also tried the raw kitfo sandwich for the first time it was great!!!

This is a wonderful restaurant and small but well stocked Ethiopian market. I am a huge fan of their vegetarian/vegan sampler platter. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options available without needing to make special requests/alter the preparation which is great for those with dietary restrictions. In addition, they have gluten free injera for takeaway and with your meal. This isn’t a restaurant to go to for the IG aesthetic but the inside is spacious and clean. I usually order take out at the counter and hang out while it’s made. I enjoy perusing the Ethiopian grocery section during this time. Everyone at the store is friendly, and the food is ready quickly. The portions are generous for a very fair price.
