Tasty Town

One of the best new restaurants I’ve tried in Birmingham in a long time! The zucchini fritters with garlic tahini butter + honey are DELICIOUS! Also loved the meatball pita with Greek fries. I will definitely be going back!

The name is interesting and the menu is Greek influenced for for sure. The front of the house staff is not all hospitable. Especially the older short hair gentleman that works the dinner hours. I could clearly tell the difference between how he treated my other family members versus how I was treated. Strange. All of the staff members from the front of the house and more had a very welcoming vibe and demeanor. The food was indeed tasty. From the hummus with meat sauce, fresh pita bread, cocktails, and more. The pork chop did not disappoint. However, it was sad to learn that the eating capacity I saved for donuts remained empty because the Greek donuts were not available. I mean, lead with that lol upon seating the party. I’m afraid people might skip this place because of the funny name. But once you know the story behind the name it’s really cool. They named it that because they said it’s what immigrants might have named a restaurant thinking it implied a great culinary experience. And indeed it was a great experience. The pistachio I had was awesome comfort food, served with a side salad it was just the right amount. And the fresh homemade pita and hummus is not to be missed. Casual but chic atmosphere is great as well.
