Marre and Allen Bar & Kitchen

I really like this place. It is located in the Birmingham Marriott and a convenient choice for the business traveler who does not want to leave the hotel with its free wifi connection. Food and beverage choices are impressive, especially for a hotel restaurant. I especially enjoy the "favor extraction" apparatus (see picture) which is used to infuse different liquors with fruit extracts. For those looking for a new twist on a literal classic cocktail, try the "new fashioned". For those of you who do not like fancy cocktails, they have a nice draft beer selection as well. Scotch drinkers may also appreciate some of the higher end selections offered. This is also the location of the hotel breakfast buffet. They have a pretty standard assortment (consistent with other Marriott properties). However, they also offer a freshly prepared item from the kitchen with every buffet purchase. 2022 I miss the infusion device. But the place is still good.

I no longer work there!! I received rave reviews and my coworkers were jealous of my tips. Disrespect and I had to leave for my own good. God always move me up. I loved all my coworkers that were not in the restaurant and my bf Chablis that I brought on with me. Tipped/blessed every coworker there and performed other jobs to help my guest!! I’ll be an asset where ever I choose to work!!

I ordered two orders of shrimp tacos ($18.00) I got five pieces of shrimp on a little bed of coleslaw (?) Mix. my daughter had the shrimp tacos the day before and actually had tacos. I told the waitress what I had ordered and she looked confused and shrugged her shoulders. I got charged the 18.00 still for both . I went Friday March 25 about 1030 pm I had ordered them..I was so tired from traveling and march madness basketball I didn't want to argue the price. Just was so disappointed. I was still hungry after my five pieces of shrimp.
