Hot and Hot Fish Club

We booked a Saturday night reservation to celebrate my husband's birthday. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we felt welcomed and completely taken care of for the entire evening. Carlos recommended the beef culotte -- it was perfectly tender and my only (very minor) critique would be that it was a hair over-seasoned... but even then, a touch more salt than necessary is better than an under seasoned steak. The fried chicken skin was a really nice touch. Husband loved the duck duo and we split the dark chocolate soufflé for dessert -- don't sleep on this, the dark chocolate carried through beautifully and it wasn't too sweet. We probably could have passed on the bread service -- the bread was hot and fresh but not life-changing, and the basil butter was delicious -- wonderful fresh basil flavor. Wow! Dinner at Hot and Hot was amazing from start to finish. They had great drink options and the cocktails were perfectly made. The appetizers were wonderful, especially the tomato salad. I had trigger fish for my entree, served with jumbo asparagus and blueberry panna cotta for dessert. It was a bit of a splurge but worth every penny with impeccable service and innovative flavors. Can't wait to return!
