Chuck's Fish Birmingham

Food is NOT good. As highly rated as this place is I am surprised. I've eaten there twice now (figured the first time I must have just ordered the wrong thing.) Second time I came with my daughter. We both left very unimpressed by the quality of the food. I would not eat there again. The other thing I found disappointing was the overall ambience. It feels like a fast food or casual dining restaurant but the prices and the reputation are as a fine dining experience. Clearly NOT.

Food is mediocre at best. Service is good. Environment is casual fast food. Sadly disappointing. I moved here from Los Angeles. Have to believe the good reviews are because people haven’t had better. Hope Birmingham can do better than this because this isn’t.

The place was quite nice. It's not very large but I think that added to the cozy calm feeling of the dining area. The waiter was very polite and the things he suggested were fabulous. The drinks were great. We didn't care for thier choice of deserts so the server brought us an after dinner sweet drink instead. Loved it.
