This hole in the wall has been a staple for Hueytown and surrounding communities for as far back as I can remember. Always has the nicest and most polite staff and the food... Well, try it out for yourself!

I discovered Speedy's years ago (40 yrs.) when it was called Speedy Gonzales. The food was fantastic then. I was finally back in my old neighborhood again with my brother who had never eaten there. I asked him to see if the restaurant was still there. To my delite it was there. I was not disappointed and now my brother has a new favorite place to eat. Service was great, the food was really good and in portions large enough to satisfy your hunger. Kid-friendliness: They a kids menu, though we did not order from it. The booths are large enough to seat 2 adults and several children with ease. Parking: Parking is very convenient just outside of their entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: It is all street level from the parking to inside the store, so anyone with mobility issues should find it easily accessible. Dietary restrictions: They have a sign at the order point that requests you to tell them any food allergies you have before you order.

This place definitely got my business. By far the best Taco Salad I have had. Not to mention the size of the taco salad, it was huge. Which made it well worth the price. And you can't forget your dessert, try the Fried Cheesecake. It was even better!!!
