Rib and pork plate with bake beans and onion rings. It was pretty good. Red Velvet Cake was delicious!
Delicious pulled BBQ, mayonnaise-based slaw and onion rings. Homemade, REAL chocolate pie with ACTUAL meringue!!! That was something I thought I'd never see again unless I made it at home. If you know meringue, then you KNOW it was A TREAT. My parents dined here in the 60s and 70s and it was one of their favorites. This was my first time back in about 14 years. The restaurant is lived in and plays an 80s soundtrack which is fabulous. Beats Jim 'n Nick's and the like by MILES.
Their wings (served only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday) are wonderful. They are tender but crispy on the outside. They are so good I do not even eat them with sauce. The Mac and cheese is very tasty! Best BBQ I have had here in Alabama.
