El Dorado Mexican Restaurant in Alaska

Beautiful cozy Mexican restaurant with tasty dishes. They provide complementary corn chips with salsa. Portion size is generous and good service too! I must say this has a great ambiance and reasonable price. Only thing was that our order was delayed a lot and we ended up eating the 2 baskets of chips before food arrived. Definitely recommend!

I honestly don't understand how this place has such good reviews. The service was slow and the restaurant was not very busy. Our food (party of 4) was average. I ordered two a la carte tacos, but the waitress for some reason put in an order for rice and beans as well. The meat was very dry. Fine. It happens. But the weirdest part happened when it came time to pay the bill. The waitress seemed reluctant to let us look at our individual bills before she took our cards. We insisted, and she charged me for fajitas instead of two tacos. I pointed this out and it took a couple of rounds before she agreed to fix it. So then she came back with the bill for two tacos plus rice and beans. I didn't order the rice and beans but I just wanted to go home at this point, so I didn't mention it. She comes back with the cards and she charged me for $10 more than the original bill said ($23 instead of $13), but didn't bring back the original bill either, and her explanation was that they add a service ch

My husband and I just had the most amazing lunch here! The staff was beyond friendly, the food was phenomenal and so were the drinks! My husband had the chimichanga with a margarita and I had the aculpulco enchilada with a glass of chardonnay. I didn't finish my lunch and got it to go. I asked if it was possible to get extra sauce, the waitress asked the cook, and sure enough they whipped up some extra sauce for me. We'll definitely be back in the future and will rave about them to our friends! Thank you to all the staff!
